Child Swapping

 Have you ever thought, how did this "Child Swapping" come into light?And who are the main culprits of such unethical and illegal practice? 

Let's come to its origin , child swapping means interchanging of children without having knowledge of biological parents. Mostly, Swapping of children took place in hospital at the time of their birth.

Since last few years many cases of child swapping have been reported and you will be surprised to know the reason behind it because each case has its own story. To a greater extent we can say it becomes a racket of earning money for Doctors or medical staffs while sometimes it happens unknowingly by nurses.

For instance - In some cases newly born babies with critical health conditions are put in ICU where some more children are kept and this way they would have made a mistake.

In another context some couple who are indulging in it might have various reason like they have stereotype mindset regarding girls and wish to have baby boy because of their old orthodox thinking regarding male dominant

that's why they contact such doctors who run such racket of swapping so that they could get baby boy whether he is their own mitochondrial genes or not. For them, being blessed with a girl is a curse and it makes them feel embarrassed and they think that she will become a burden for them. They show their double standard and violate "Right to equality before law".

But it would be wrong to say that it happens only in case of boys , swapping of girls too happening. For illustration - There is already a couple with 2 sons and now they wish to have a baby girl but this time too she gives birth to a boy through cesarean operation and they can't take one more attempt as there will be probability of losing her life so they have left with this last alternative and unwillingly they will go for child swapping. Thus the couple find out about the Doctors and hospitals who run such rackets.

As it is an unethical and  illegal practice so I don't find that they can give that much love and care to that swap child which they will give their own genes. Somehow they will act so realistic but still they can do a little bit partiality when his or her activity and behaviour won't match with them because of unmatched chromosomes and genetic inheritance. They will always remain worried about their own child and they will also live with this guilt that they have lost their own blood and they will deprived with endless joy and attachment that one's get from their own child. 

Being a parent and caring child is a wonderful experience of everyone's life and for the sake of it, a parent is ready for doing anything even beyond the limit.

So it's nothing more than that of playing with the emotion of a couple.

In many cases when the couple got to know that their child has swapped , they reported it and then DNA Test is done through which ultimately they exchange their child.

But this is not the right solution of getting back as it happens in some limited cases so it will be better to eradicate the root cause of its origin rather than taking strict action against it who indulge in it.

At the end we can say that hospital authorities need to build a transparent system to monitor all these things carefully. And also a clear guideline should be available for DNA test in case of any disputes. So that problem can be solved very easily without so many legal involvements.
